As a candidate for U.S. Senate I personally ,nor my campaign actively track , follow or try to mine your data. I thank you for visiting and reading about the campaign. I am a strong Privacy advocate–that said the website uses services that I cannot have complete understanding of or control of their practices. Any information you enter in the fields is processed through a service such as WinRed. Since the Kentucky Consumer Data Protection Act is now in effect (as of Jan 1, 2026), the law requires us to tell people how they can appeal if we deny your request to delete or see your data.

This document outlines the practices of Forge Ahead KY – James D. Duncan for U.S. Senate and its partners (referred to as the “Campaign”) regarding the collection, use, and sharing of your data when you visit forgeaheadky.com, or use our linked mobile sites, or communicate with us. Furthermore, we are obligated by the Federal Election Commission (“FEC”) to obtain specific personal details from individuals who contribute to the campaign. For example, the FEC requires us to collect (and disclose) the name, mailing address, occupation, and employer of all individuals whose donations exceed $200 per election cycle.

Information We Collect Automatically When You Use the Site: We use automated tools—including services provided by Cloudflare—to gather certain details about you whenever you interact with our Site, such as:

  • Log Information: Our systems record data regarding your Site activity, such as your IP address, browser type, specific pages accessed, and your previous web location. As our traffic is routed through Cloudflare’s network, they may also process basic metadata to optimize connection speeds and identify potential security threats.
  • Device Information: Details regarding the specific device used to visit our Site—including its operating system, hardware model, and unique identifiers—may be recorded by us.
  • Information Collected by Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies: These small data files, known as cookies, are saved on your device to help us understand site traffic, refine our features, and enhance your overall user experience. We may use Cloudflare Turnstile to confirm that visitors are real people rather than automated bots; this tool evaluates browser signals without using intrusive tracking cookies or harvesting data for advertising. Information We Collect From Other Sources: Data acquired from external parties may be integrated with the information we gather directly through our online platforms. For example, if you create or log into your account through a social media site, we will have access to certain information from that site, such as your name, account information and friends lists, in accordance with the authorization procedures determined by such social media site. In addition, if you make a donation to Forge Ahead KY – James D. Duncan for U.S. Senate via WinRed (such as via the link on the Site), we will obtain certain information about you from WinRed.

  • If we determine that your conduct violates our policies or threatens the security of the Campaign and its personnel, we may share your information.
  • Should the Campaign undergo a restructuring, merger, or asset transfer, your personal data could be included as part of those transferred assets.
  • We will share your data whenever you explicitly authorize us to do so or if we have informed you of a specific sharing practice prior to your submission.
  • Note that opt-in records for text messaging are strictly protected and will not be disclosed to third parties except for our specific service providers, legal requirements, or with your direct permission.
  • Statistical or de-identified data that cannot be traced back to you may be shared by the Campaign. Except as provided in this paragraph, text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Online Petitions: By adding your name to an online petition, you acknowledge that your signature, location, and associated remarks become part of the public record. In addition, we may provide such petitions or compilations thereof, including your comments, name, city, and state to national, state or local leaders, or to the press.

Links to Other Websites: You may find links to external sites throughout our platform. For example, we link to WinRed to enable donations through WinRed for our benefit, or we may link to sites of other organizations with whom we partner. Any personal information you provide on such linked pages is provided directly to that third party and is subject to that third party’s privacy policy. This Privacy Policy does not apply to such linked sites, and we are not responsible for the content or privacy and security practices and policies of these websites or any other sites that are linked to from the Site. Social Sharing Features: Tools for social sharing, such as Facebook’s “Like” button, are available on the Site to help you broadcast your activities to other platforms. The use of such features enables the sharing of information with your friends or the public, depending on the settings you establish with the entity that provides the social sharing feature. This enables third-party vendors, including Google, to show our ads on sites across the Internet. Such third-party vendors, including Google, may use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) together to inform, optimize, and serve ads based on your past visits to our Site. The Campaign is based in the United States and is directed to U.S. residents, and we process and store information in the U.S. If you are located outside the U.S., we, and our service providers, may store, access, or transfer your information to jurisdictions that may not provide equivalent levels of data protection as your home jurisdiction.

Your Choices

However, note that we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes. We may also retain cached or archived copies of information about you for a certain period of time.
